Marketing Strategies Part- 2

 4. FREEBIE MARKETING

Freebie marketing is defined as any promotion, low price product, or giveaway that encourages the sale of another, higher value product. Companies are basically giving customers a taste of their products to attract them and retain their loyalty. Freebie marketing need not always be the distribution of free products.

5. UNDER COVER MARKETING

Undercover marketing strategies involve introducing a product to consumers in a way that does not seem like advertising. It is a strategy within the broader technique of stealth marketing, where agents pose as regular people and show products to others who are unaware of the marketing push. (also known as Stealth Marketing).

For example, the Turi vodka campaign hired a highly-regarded nightclub owner to feature Turi at his private party, drawing an association between the product and the host’s popularity. Turi could have also been marketed by hiring an actor to visit bars, order Turi, and recommend it to other patrons.

6. OUTBOUND MARKETING VS INBOUND MARKETING

Outbound marketing is any kind of marketing where a company makes the initial first contact with its audience and potential customers. Examples of outbound marketing activities include TV ads, radio ads, trade shows, print media, cold calling, cold emails, and so on.

Inbound marketing, in simple terms, is the process of helping potential customers find your company. This frequently happens before the customer is even ready to make a purchase, but making contact early can turn into brand preference and, ultimately, leads and revenue.

7. CROSS PROMOTION MARKETING

Cross-promotion is a form of marketing promotion where customers of one product or service are targeted with promotion of a related product. A typical example is cross-media marketing of a brand; for example, Oprah Winfrey's promotion on her television show of her books, magazines and website.

Examples of Cross promotion:
